Staple meals

I tried planning a weekly menu for our family several times. It is a great way to minimize evening stress. I say "evening stress" because dinners are by far the most labor intensive meals.
Breakfasts are easy at our house. Normally, it's a bowl of oatmeal for kids, sometimes Older One will also have an egg sandwich (if he is not too lazy to make it, or I have an extra minute to do it). They also like cereal, but I'm trying not to rely on it too much.
The best oatmeal comes from a big box of 100% Whole Grain Oats, I like the express kind that cooks in 1 Minute. I think the only difference with traditional variety is the size of the pieces - express oats are cut into smaller chunks. I usually mix a little bit of raisins with 1/2 cup of oats, pour some milk over the mixture, just to cover the oats, and stick it into microwave for 1 min 30 sec. Quick and wholesome breakfast.
